Bookkeeping Software
The hard part of day-to-day bookkeeping is not issuing the invoice; it is making the invoice match the customer account, the account balance match the cash, and the cash match the statutory books. Done in four separate programs, month end turns into a hunt for differences. Here they are all part of the same record.
What is bookkeeping software?
Bookkeeping software (in Turkey: "ön muhasebe") records a business's daily trading transactions — invoices, delivery notes, customer and supplier accounts, cash, bank and stock. Unlike statutory accounting, it does not produce tax returns and ledgers; it follows the daily flow of the business. Set up correctly, the data that goes to statutory accounting is consistent on its own; no separate transfer is made.
How does the daily flow work?
The document is issued
A sales invoice, delivery note or purchase invoice is entered. If e-Fatura and e-Arşiv (Turkey's e-invoice and e-archive invoice) are used, the document goes to GİB (the Turkish Revenue Administration) from the same screen.
Account and stock move
The moment the document is issued, the customer is debited and the goods sold are deducted from stock. No separate entry is made.
The payment goes into cash
A cash, bank or cheque receipt closes the customer account and updates the cash/bank balance.
Reports and handover
End-of-day, end-of-month and period reports come from the same data; no separate data is prepared for statutory accounting.
What is in the package?
Invoices and delivery notes
Sales invoices, purchase invoices, delivery notes, returns, price lists. e-Fatura, e-Arşiv and e-İrsaliye are generated in UBL-TR format.
Customer and supplier accounts
Customer and supplier balances, due date tracking, account statements, reconciliation. Receivables ageing on screen, not from a printout.
Cash and bank
Cash transactions, bank accounts, payment and collection records, bank reconciliation.
Stock
Receipts and issues, multiple warehouses, critical stock alerts, stock counts and FIFO/LIFO/moving average valuation.
Linked to statutory accounting
The Turkish uniform chart of accounts, general journal, balance sheet and income statement are in the same system. There is no transfer step between bookkeeping and statutory accounting.
Sales and purchasing
Orders, quotes, purchase requests, supplier price comparison. The whole trading flow in one place.
Who is it for?
Small and medium-sized businesses
Businesses tired of keeping invoices, accounts, cash and stock in separate programs that want to bring them together in one place.
Growing trading companies
Companies that start with bookkeeping and will need to move on to production, payroll and HR — they continue in the same system without switching programs.
Businesses working with an accountant
Because statutory accounting is in the same system, the data that goes to your accountant is consistent; month-end correction traffic goes down.
Frequently asked questions
What does AI-assisted bookkeeping software mean, and what changes?
The difference is in the work behind the screen: AI agents run that read an incoming invoice and split it into line items, match a transaction on the bank statement to the right account, suggest recurring entries and answer questions such as "what is this customer's balance this month?" on every screen. Routine data entry and reconciliation are taken over by the agents; approval and decisions stay with you. In classic bookkeeping software all of these steps are done by hand.
What is the difference between bookkeeping and statutory accounting?
Bookkeeping follows daily trading transactions (invoices, accounts, cash, stock); statutory accounting records them in the books according to the Turkish uniform chart of accounts and carries them into tax returns. In SmartERP both are in the same system, with no transfer in between.
Are e-Fatura and e-Arşiv included?
The e-Belge module generates e-Fatura, e-Arşiv, e-İrsaliye, e-SMM and e-Müstahsil in UBL-TR 1.2.1 format — the Turkish e-documents. Submission to GİB directly or through a private integrator — whichever you prefer. ELPO is itself a GİB-approved private integrator.
Does it run in the cloud, or can I install it on my own server?
Today it runs in the cloud: a shared database or a database dedicated to your company. In both, installation and backups are handled by us and the data is hosted in Turkey; you can move from shared to dedicated without migrating data. Installation on your own server is on the roadmap.
Can I transfer the data from my current program?
Customer and supplier cards, product cards and opening balances are uploaded from a file. Tell us which program you use and in which format you can export the data, and we will tell you exactly how long the transfer will take.
How many users can use it?
The number of users is set by the licence. There are no module restrictions: all 13 module groups come enabled in every plan, so you never end up buying modules later.
Can my accountant connect too?
Yes. A user with limited permissions is defined for your accountant; they reach the reports they need and do not enter other areas.
What do bookkeeping software prices depend on?
The number of users and the deployment type (shared cloud or a database dedicated to your company) are decisive. Choosing modules does not change the price, because all of them come enabled.
What does the AI side do?
There is a panel on every screen where you can ask questions, such as "why is there a budget variance?" or "are there duplicate customer records?". You use your own LLM key and pay the provider yourself; we do not act as an intermediary.
Will I be told if invoices are left unprocessed at month end?
Yes. On the 1st of every month the previous month is scanned; if there are invoices not posted to accounting or journal entries awaiting approval, company administrators receive a single notification such as "September 2026 is not ready for closing — 6 invoices not posted to accounting, 2 journal entries awaiting approval". Reversed documents do not count as pending work; if the month is clean, no notification is sent. The "Go" link in the notification opens the invoice list showing only unposted invoices.
Can I see collections and payments for the coming weeks?
Every Monday at 07:00 the collections and payments for the next 4 weeks are derived from open invoices and cheque/promissory note due dates, and administrators receive a single notification. A week in which payments exceed collections is named, and overdue open items are listed separately; currencies are not added together.
How much does bookkeeping software cost?
The price depends on the number of users and the deployment type. There is no split into module packages — invoicing, accounts, cash, stock, sales, purchasing and statutory accounting all come enabled.
