Tuwa Electronics
For software to work in the field, the hardware has to work first. From card readers to tank probes, from RS485 converters to manifolds, we design and manufacture the electronics that automation touches ourselves — when a fault occurs, the place you call and the engineer who will fix it are in the same place.
What is Tuwa?
Tuwa is ELPO's registered electronics brand. Field automation hardware (RFID card reader, RS485-USB converter, tank manifold and probe), remote access devices and industrial electronics are grouped under this brand. The products are designed by ELPO engineers and manufactured in Turkey; the embedded software on them is also written by ELPO for each application.
Where does it sit in the field?
Identification
The card reader at the pump identifies the staff member, the customer or the vehicle. Who sold what during a shift and what was dispensed to which vehicle is recorded here.
RS485 data bus
Field devices connect to the automation over RS485. It is a data bus chosen to work over long distances in a station environment with heavy electrical noise.
To the computer via the converter
The CU4X converter turns the RS485 line into USB; on the computer side it appears as a standard serial port (COM). No driver hassle and no separate power supply are needed.
Measurement from the tank
The probe measures level, temperature, density and water level inside the tank; the manifold connects several tanks to a single pump so that the flow is not interrupted.
Tuwa products
RFX2 / RFX3 card reader
13.56 MHz Mifare contactless RFID reader. Used for per-shift staff sales tracking and for identifying customers and vehicles. RFX3 is the keypad model: plate and odometer entry and construction machine operating hours entry are possible. The embedded software on it is designed by ELPO for each application.
CUX / CU4X USB-RS485 converter
Industrial interface module that converts RS485 communication to USB. 300–115.2k baud range, automatic direction control and baud detection. 15 kV isolation between ports and ESD protection; it draws all its power from USB and needs no external adapter.
Tank manifold
Connects one pump (dispenser) to several tanks: 3 groups × 4 tank connections. When one tank runs empty it switches to another automatically, so the fuel flow is not interrupted.
Tank probe
Electronically measures level, temperature, density and water level inside the tank and transmits the data in real time over RS485 to the tank automation.
The embedded software is ours
The software inside the device is ours too: when a customer wants a different flow, the hardware does not need to change; the embedded software is adapted to that application.
Designed and made in Turkey
Both design and production are in Turkey, with ELPO engineers. Spare parts do not depend on import schedules, and when a fault occurs there is a single point of contact.

Frequently asked questions
Is Tuwa a separate company?
No. Tuwa is the registered electronics brand of ELPO Bilişim. The products are designed and manufactured by ELPO engineers; invoicing, warranty and support come from ELPO.
Can I buy Tuwa products without buying the automation?
Products that make sense on their own, such as the converter, can be sold separately. The card reader, probe and manifold, however, work as part of an automation system; if they are bought on their own, the system they will connect to also needs to be discussed. Tell us which system you use and we will tell you clearly whether it fits.
Which cards does the card reader work with?
With 13.56 MHz Mifare contactless cards. Staff cards, customer cards and vehicle identification cards all go through the same reader; which card has which authorization is defined on the automation side.
What is the difference between RFX2 and RFX3?
RFX3 is the keypad model. With the keypad, plate and odometer entry, and operating hours entry on construction machines, are possible. If simply presenting a card is enough, RFX2 is used.
Why is the CU4X converter different from an ordinary USB converter?
Because it is built for industrial environments: it has 15 kV isolation between ports and ESD protection, and it detects RS485 direction control and baud rate by itself. On a station site, electrical noise coming over the line causes data loss and freezes in cheap converters.
Does the converter need an external power supply?
No. It draws all its power from the USB port it is connected to; there is no need for a separate adapter and socket in the field.
What exactly does the manifold do?
It connects one pump to several tanks. When a tank runs empty, the system switches to another tank automatically; sales do not stop with "the tank is empty" while the customer waits in line. 3 groups can be connected, with 4 tanks in each group.
Which measurements does the probe provide?
Level, temperature, density and water level. The data flows in real time over RS485 to the tank automation; water level measurement lets you notice water getting into the tank early.
Does it connect to my existing automation from another brand?
The products communicate over RS485, so a physical connection is possible with most systems. What decides it is whether the other side opens its protocol and interface — we do not commit to this without looking at the project; first we talk about your existing system.
Can I have a custom device made?
That is what the Tuwa Endüstri family is for: for needs that no standard product covers, electronics are designed and manufactured specifically for the project. Quantity, scope and timeline are discussed per project.
How much do Tuwa products cost?
A single list price does not work well for electronics: pricing one converter is not the same as pricing fifty card readers to be distributed across sites. We discuss the items below and send a written, itemized quote within 24 hours.
What sets the price?
- Which product: card reader, converter, probe, manifold
- Quantity — number of sites and how many devices per site
- Whether the keypad card reader model (RFX3) is needed
- Whether the automation it will connect to is ours or another brand
- Whether project-specific design or embedded software is required
We send the quote in writing, item by item, within 24 hours.
