Frequently Asked Questions
In which kinds of transport is e-Ticket used?
It is used in intercity and international passenger transport by road and sea.
Do I need to install my own software for e-Ticket?
No. If you work with a provider that offers an e-Ticket service, tickets are issued through its ready system. e-Ticket is not part of the ELPO e-Belge product.
Is a passenger list also issued together with the e-Ticket?
Yes. In intercity passenger transport, the electronic passenger list is also issued and stored electronically within the e-Ticket application.
How are tickets reported to GİB?
Issued e-Tickets are sent to GİB electronically in the form of a report. Reporting is an obligation separate from issuing the ticket.
What happens if a passenger ticket is cancelled or refunded?
Cancellations and refunds are recorded electronically and reflected in the reporting to GİB; as with a paper ticket, the trace of the transaction remains on the document.
How does the ticket reach the passenger?
The ticket is issued electronically and delivered to the passenger electronically; that is where the paper and time savings come from. The printout or screenshot the passenger holds is for presentation; the original of the document is electronic.
Does it work with my current ticket sales system?
Usually yes: your sales channel stays in your own system, and the document side runs through the e-Ticket service provider. e-Ticket is not part of the ELPO e-Belge product.
